On its second year, the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas in collaboration with the Jose Rizal Memorial State University-Tampilisan Campus conducts a Financial Literacy Seminar-Workshop to almost 800 college freshmen of the campus at the Multimedia Building on November 18-21,2019.
“The goal behind teaching students about financial literacy is to assist them in developing a wider understanding of the fundamental concepts on saving and budgeting. We educate them to make smart decisions with their money.” said Hermogenes A. Buenaflor J.R, one of the resource speakers from the BSP.
The seminar came in very timely since a lot of students struggle on the budgeting of their allowances. It was also a welcome guide for grantees of government financial subsidies whose cash allowances were recently released. Hoping this time, they make better financial decisions.
