Enrollment in the College level ends today, January 30, 2017 following the memorandum issued by the Campus Administrator, Dr. Josephine A. Subong to the deans of the colleges and the department chairpersons.
Originally, enrollment for the second semester was scheduled on January 9-13, 2017 but it dragged until today due to several reasons.
One BSED-II student complained on the releasing of the enrollments forms. It can be recalled that on the first day, the registrar’s office ran out of enrollment forms. Also, some students were still processing their clearance for the first semester while enrollment for the second semester is going on. Education students also claimed the enrollment schedule was in conflict with their JEEP classes held in the Main Campus while criminology and business administration students said that their college won’t allow them to enroll unless they are through with their theses. For others, it was due to their parents’ inability to pay even half of the tuition fee.
As a result, classes which started since January 16, 2017 were disturbed. Some subjects had very few attendees. Even worse, some did not have students forcing instructors to cancel meetings. This is notwithstanding the order given by Dr. Subong that late enrollees should not be entertained during their class hours and instead, they should attend their classes pending official enrollment.
From tomorrow to Friday, The Registrar’s Office will entertain students adding and/or dropping subjects.
