The time to change has come

Filipinos are known for being tardy. We are habitually late on whatever commitment we have. Sadly, this habit is becoming the norm.

“Time is gold”. Like gold we have to value time by being prompt in all our appointments. Here are some reasons why you should be on time on your next appointment:

It manifests how organized you are. As tertiary students, our requirements are filed up. Plus, some of us are involved in extracurricular activities that add up to our workload. Organizing your schedule allows you to squeeze in and prioritize important activities in your day’s itinerary.

It gives impression on how reliable you are. Making it on time on your appointments lives up to the expectations of others. If an appointment is set at 10 AM, you are expected to be there before or 10 AM sharp. Showing up late will tarnish your reliability simply because you cannot live up to your commitment. Reliability is a foundation of trust.

It’s a sign of respect. Who else is not busy in this fast-paced world we are in? Arriving on time on your appointments allows others to manage their schedules. It will prevent unnecessary extension of appointments that would spill over to subsequent engagements.

Lastly, it makes you feel relaxed. Showing up a for couple of minutes before your appointment gives you time to prepare and allows you to slow down. You will have time to adapt to your surroundings and be comfortable with the place. Most importantly, you need not worry about your alibis and justifications to make nor prep your sorry spiel.

Now, are you ready to be on time?
